Towards the northern side of the Muskokas, and a mere 30 minutes from Algonquin Park, is the large town of Huntsville. Formerly a sleepy town that served mostly as a jumping-off point for the myriad of nearby lakes that define "Cottage Country", Huntsville today is sizeable, containing nearly a third of the permanent Muskoka residents, let alone the massive influx of summertime visitors.
