In 1989, my group had wandered to the end of Arbat Street, then managed to get lost by not going down Arbat again because it had been too crowded. We found the first McDonald's in Russia (not yet opened). This time, we went the other direction and found this pretty little church. You always find amazing things when you go off the beaten path.
