Xi'an South Gate

Xi'an South Gate

Xi'an is a walled city, a former capital of Imperial China. Moated, you had to cross a drawbridge here to enter the city when approaching from the south. Today, there's many open entrances, but once upon a time, you faced a lot of armed guards to get in.
