In the early 1900s, Billy Carver moved into the woods near Lake Johnson, built himself a hovel, and lived away from everyone but the owner of the Anthracite General Store for 27 years. Seldom seen, his story remains a mystery, because no-one knows why he chose to live away from everyone.
