Not so long ago, this building was the source of a tremendous stench that blanketed Steveston from all the fish processing. It's only been in the more recent years that Steveston become a tourist destination instead of an anethema. The building is now a museum -- the vast fish stocks having been depleted and the industry closed -- that tells the story of what once was.
