Looking across the lake to Port Dalhousie and St. Catherines
Looking over the lighthouse at the end of the pier, I noticed something on the horizon, something I'd never seen in the 25 years I lived in Oakville: the other side of the lake. I can't say with certainty, but I believe this is Port Dalhousie and St. Catherines, just beyond. The curvature of the Earth combined with atmospheric effects have bent the light, making the buildings look much taller than they are.
