Evening on the River Lee

Evening on the River Lee
The Lee, at least as it currently exists, has rigid cut-stone shores, a lasting legacy of Cork's history as a prominent port on the south coast of Ireland. The Lee was a place to tie up ships to offload and onload cargo of every type. When the individual smaller boats gave way to the massive modern ships, the wharfs fell into disuse, leaving their remains to rot away.
