I did not kiss the Blarney Stone
If you look at the left side of the castle, you'll see a pair of black lines at the top. These are the brackets that hold the landing just behind, allowing staff to hold those who want to kiss the stone, as you have to do it hanging upside down. We braved the "30 minutes" (an hour) to get the top, winding up impossibly narrow stairs, only to find that none of us had any interest in the act.
