Port Stanley Station

Port Stanley Station

This is the original Port Stanley station, dating from the heady days of the London & Port Stanley Railway. There were tracks on either side of the building, extending across Bridge Street (behind the photographer) down to the waterfront. After the L&PS line was closed, the remainders were kept as the Port Stanley Terminal Railway. The PSTR runs small passenger tourist trains to and from St. Thomas, about 15 kilometers north.
